I wanted to follow up on yesterday’s “infected lime tree” DEEmail.
If you missed it, you can read it here.
Sometimes, the problem holding us back from experiencing quantum growth in our business has nothing to do with sales, marketing, operations, employees, or any of the “normal” places we would look.
Sometimes, the problem is with ourselves.
We find ourselves in a funk.
As the late, great Zig Ziglar said, we allow ourselves to fall into “Stinkin’ thinkin’.”
We lose our edge or enthusiasm.
We become complacent or too conservative and aren’t willing to risk trying something new that might result in losing DEEnero or, worse, a blow to our egos.
We let our thinking become small and confined instead of expansive and wonderous.
I like to think of myself as a positive person, but I’ve allowed myself to fall into ALL of the mental traps I’ve listed below, some of which have been recently!
This DEEmail isn’t meant to be accusatory or a condemnation but a call for self-reflection.
