True story.
Many moons ago, I had a private client whom I helped grow her core business and then create a 7-figure coaching business from scratch.
I DEEsigned a new lead generation campaign for her that included a mini-lead capture website.
It was clean and simple.
She wanted something fancier and “prettier,” so we created another version of the website with a professionally edited video and other bells and whistles.
We did a split test because I didn’t know which page would have a higher lead capture rate. I didn’t care which page was the winner. Whatever one got a higher conversion rate, we’d use.
Makes sense, right?
Apparently not.
You see, even though the simple page trounced the fancier, better-looking one, my client decided to, you guessed it, use the one she liked better.
It doesn’t matter what you, your favorite guru, spouse, or employees think.
A good commandment to remember is:
Results. Rule. Period.
