Kalia and I saw the movie “Oppenheimer” on Saturday.
Wow.
Robert Downey Jr., no acting slouch in his own right, said of Cillian Murphy, the lead actor in the film:
“I have never witnessed a greater sacrifice by a lead actor in my career,” Downey said. “He knew it was going to be a behemoth ask when Chris called him. But I think he also had the humility that is required to survive playing a role like this.”
“We’d be like, ‘Hey, we got a three-day weekend. Maybe we’ll go antiquing in Santa Fe. What are you going to do?’ ‘Oh, I have to learn 30,000 words of Dutch. Have a nice time,'” he said.
Learn 30,000 words of a language he didn’t understand in a weekend?
Yet, there are business owners who tell me that they don’t have time to write a few emails per week to their list of leads, or to finish a webinar presentation that will fill their calendar with appointments, or invest time to learn scripts for overcoming objections.
I’m not sitting on my high horse, by the way.
I’m as guilty of making lame excuses for my lack of production and commitment as anyone else.
How committed are you to being the best you can, the most prepared, and delivering your highest level of performance in the most important roles in your life?
Kick butt, make mucho dinero!

P.S. I’m shaking up my Inner Sanctum VIP membership and making it even more valuable. Details are coming later this week.
