Powerful sales persuasion tools

It’s been crazy at the Deeworld HQ! First, we put our house on the market and have had back-to-back showings since Friday, and now we are mulling over the offers.

My wife Kalia has a real estate license, so she’s the listing agent. And wow, did she do an amazing job!

It doesn’t matter if you’re in the real estate business; the strategies she used can be applied to any business.

First, she put the house in “coming soon” status on a site for Realtors. That built anticipation for when the house came on the market. Almost immediately, Kalia started getting calls from Realtors who wanted to “cheat” the system and have clients see our home before it officially went on sale. Smartly, she declined.

Second, she ensured that only qualified prospects could see the home by insisting that Realtors provide a pre-qualification letter or proof of funds. Adding this simple step kept away the lookie-loos and ensured that only people who could afford to see the house would see it.

Third, she scheduled the showings back-to-back, one after the other. Meaning prospective buyers also see people coming and going, enhancing scarcity.
