A snowstorm of pollen and hanging with VP Pence

I love the ATL except for the damn pollen that has invaded us. My black Audi looks yellow after minutes outside. Even though I am literally never sick, I feel like I have a minor cold because of the pollen.

What does this have to do with sales and marketing, you ponder?

Nada.

I just wanted to let you know so you can pour your sympathy on me from afar.

Now back to business…

While visiting D.C., we went to the Capitol building and while on tour, a ruckus ensued as V.P. Pence walked by. He was surrounded by a slew of police officers and secret service dudes. He didn’t stop but did smile and wave to the crowd who applauded. The entourage moved through the crowd with precision and purpose.

Before going to the White House, we had to get a security clearance. At the White House, we went through three screening procedures before entering. Everything worked with Swiss watch precision.

In both cases, there were specific protocols that were followed to ensure everything went off safely and without a hitch.

The best of the best in any field have procedures they follow every time they engage in their craft. Professional athletes have their pre-game rituals. Pilots have their checklists. Roadies do everything the same way every time they set up or break down equipment for their band.
