Today, I’m going to answer a question posted on my blog by Dr. Tom. He asks:

“David Great information, I’m stumped on how you write an article and make it available for the public on the internet to read and then they will just roll over to your website.How are you posting your article so the pubic will read it? When you don’t have a following?”

Article marketing is  a great, inexpensive way to drive traffic to your website  and has the added advantage of positioning you as a expert. There are two ways you can write an article. One would be to do it yourself or two would be to have someone do it for you. In either case, you want the article to be about a specific top that interests your prospects.  For example, if you are a chiropractor, you could have an article titled, “How To Eliminate Back Pain Fast and Forever.” You’ll notice that key words “how to eliminate back pain” are right in the title of the article. This is important as well as using your main keywords throughout your article. Search engines will pick up on this and your article will show up as an organic search when people use the search term you have in your article.

Getting people to visit your website after reading your articles is simple. At the end of your article, you have a “resource” box. In this resource box, you offer a free report, MP3, PDF, etc. on a topic that interests your target market (This is called a “lead generation magnet”). Prospects are driven to a landing page where they give you their name and email address in order to get the free gift. You then have an email follow-up procedure in place  designed for your prospect to make and appointment with you or buy your product.
