Anatomy Of A Successful Product Launch Part 4
Happy Monday!
I’m on back to back calls with coaching clients today and I’m cranking out today’s post during my short breaks, so there’s no time for chit chat or to brood over the Atlanta Thrashers dismal performance I witnessed yesterday.
Okay, down to business.
You’ve set the date for your actual product launch… now what?
I’m going to lay out for you the most fundamental way to launch your product. This is truly bare bones but it works. (In fact, this is the actual strategy I devised for Alexis’ famous “$117,000 in 67 minutes” launch.)
(This assumes that you have built an email list. If you have not, then that is a whole other conversation. What’s cool is that when Alexis hired me, she had no list and we built it very quickly. However, that is not the ideal situation. You want to already have a list in place, if at all possible.)
You are going to launch your product via a teleseminar and promote is with a series of five emails. Here are some more deets:
1. Set up a landing page for people to register for your teleseminar. In addition to the date and time of the call, you want to have some hot bullet points teasing and describing what people are going to discover when they listen in.
2. Send a “save the date” email. This is a teaser email which gives the name of your teleseminar, a brief description of what you’ll be talking about, the date of the call, and tells people when registration for the call is going to officially open.
3. Write four emails promoting the call and drive people to the landing page to register. You will send one email a day.
4. On the day of the call, send out an additional reminder email to registrants. (This is very important and increases attendance.)
5. Conduct the actual teleseminar. (This is an art in and of itself. One day, I might write a series of articles on doing teleseminars.)
Tomorrow, in the final lesson, I’m going to share with you what you do AFTER your teleseminar that is critical to your success.
Gotta run. Coaching clients await.
Kick butt, make much “DEE-nero!”

P.S., No joke, I have received a ton of applications for free strategy sessions with me and they are still coming in. Tomorrow at 5:00 PM ET is the absolute deadline for submitting your application. I will be reviewing them on Wednesday and then Chelsea will be contacting everyone who applied and either setting up a time for a strategy session with me or letting peeps know that they did not qualify at this time.
If you’re a serious, real deal information marketer or are passionately committed to starting an info biz, then I welcome you to apply for a strategy session. Email Chelsea@davedee.com with the subject line, “Strategy Session With Dave”and make sure you turn in your app no later than 5:00 PM tomorrow.
