Anatomy Of A Successful Product Launch – Final
Have I mentioned to you that I love having a personal assistant? As I write this, she is getting new tires and a much needed oil change for my car. Then she’s going to do all my laundry. It would have taken me at least 3 hours to do that but instead I can focus on work and then enjoy my date with my son tonight
Good stuff. And speaking of good stuff, today is the final lesson in my Anatomy Of A Successful Product Launch series.
So you’ve done your teleseminar and launched your product, sales are rolling in for about the first 30 minutes after the call and then they start dying out. What do ya do?
Well, you could sit back and be satisfied with the sales you made but if you do that, you are leaving a lot, if not the majority of the money on the table. The phrase for you to remember is:
The fortune is in the follow-up.
You need to send a series of emails and have a specific deadline for when the special product launch offer ends. I recommend a five day deadline after your teleseminar and sending an email a day to your list.
Here is a big secret: On that last day of your launch, send three emails. One first thing in the morning saying “Hey the deadline is today at 5:00 PM.” Send a second around noon. And a third one hour before the deadline. You will get a flurry of orders on the last day and at the last minute.
In a recent product launch I managed, we did half of the sales immediately after the teleseminar and then 20% of the sales on the LAST DAY. Sure glad we followed up!
By the way, today at 5:00 is the deadline for you to apply for a free strategy session with me about your information marketing business. (I won’t be sending three emails about it! I already have more applications than time.) I will be reading through the applications and letting Chelsea know who should be scheduled for a strategy session with me. You will be notified either way at the end of the week.
Now that I’ve let you behind the scenes about a little known part of my business, being a high level product launch and information marketing business strategist, I’m about ready to pull back the curtain completely. I’ll be sending you an email tomorrow with more details.
Kick butt, make mucho “DEE-nero!”
